PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MENDUKUNG PENERAPAN KURIKULUM MERDEKA BERSAMA (PKBM) DORIT TUNGAL, DESA SEBUDUH, KECAMATAN KEMBAYAN

The learning process requires support from various aspects, particularly the role of learning companions. Learning companions are not limited to professionals in the field of teaching and learning but extend to the entire community environment in which the child or student resides. Parents hold a critical responsibility for fulfilling all the needs and rights of their children. This community service program aims to prepare and revitalize parental involvement in the children’s learning process based on the Merdeka Curriculum by providing knowledge and skills to parents at the Dorit Tungal Community Learning Center (PKBM) in Sebuduh Village, Kembayan District. The program was attended by 30 participants and implemented through a seminar-based method aimed at three target groups: parents of children at early childhood education and elementary school levels, parents of junior high school students, and parents of senior high school students. The Sebuduh village community recognizes and understands the importance of parental guidance at home during the learning process. Parental involvement serves as a crucial support for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes learner autonomy. Additionally, parents are expected to be informed about the school’s educational mission to foster synergy between parents and teachers in providing meaningful support for children’s learning.
